One Heli of a trip
Irish daily Mirror - Ireland
August 20, 2005

Of Course the definitive Vegas outing comes in the shape of
the grand Canyon - at 277 miles long, 10 miles wide and a
mile deep it's a sight that even the Strip can't match.

The Only way to see it properly is by helicopter.
Heli USA is the best of many firms offering chopper flights
from McCarran International Airport and between you and me
it's worth EVERY penny.
Flying low through the massive split in the earth in a
cloudless sky is an |
|
unbelievable experience. I will never forget as the
helicopter soared over the western rim of the canyon and the
sheer immensity of this natural wonder hit me smack between
the eyes.
Heli USA also offer a stay at their 106,000 acre Grand
Canyon Ranch. There in the shadow of Spirit Mountain,
you can get to do your best John Wayne impersonations whilst
riding, cattle driving and enjoying a stagecoach ride.

As overnight guests we saddled up and rode off to see the
Joshua trees and watch the sun set over the desert. |
|
A magnificent dinner back at the ranch house was followed by
a few beers and some tall stories round an open camp fire
before a night’s sleep in a traditional cowboy cabin. The
next morning, after a hearty breakfast we left the dust of
the desert behind and headed back on the 45-minute flight to
the glitz of vegas, flying up the strip before finally
touching down.
I was sad to leave the ranch behind - it was the best
experience of the trip - but I guess in a city where big is
beautiful, the Grand Canyon is always going to have the
upper hand. |

TESTIMONIALS
AND COMMENTS...

Enjoyable visit

From the helicopter lift off to oue sda goodbyes this was a fun diversion from the bright lights of Vegas. The welcome, food, accommodation and entertainment were all excellent. The staff/cowboys were all willing to advise and answer any questions we asked. Would recommend the evening horse ride, shame in our case it was a bit over casted but we still enjoyed.

- Beter Ford, Halifax in the UK

Superb

Fantastic time, and a real highlight on our lads tour of the States. Hospitality, food, atmosphere, scenery and experience everything (and more) you'd expect. Special thanks to Gilbert and Casey - hope the bagpipes didn't scare the horses! Hope to be back soon - thanks again to all, it's a special thing you do!

- Colin, Chaljy, Skidney & Kev, Galashiels / Edinburgh, Scotland

Loved the Ranch

The ranch and the people were great to us when we got stuck there for 12 hours. Will definitely go and stay there again soon. Couldn't ask for a better time.

- Dekurly, Edgewater, Maryland USA

Wish I was there!

What an amazing time we had. We were on our honeymoon staying in Las Vegas for 10 days and we didn't think our holiday could get any better. Until we booked with Heli USA to fly over Grand Canyon arriving at the ranch. I recommend the horse riding but I may be biased as I have my own at home. Dinner was amazing the steak was to die for my husband had two and told me later he really wanted another but didnt want to seem greedy. Everyone was so friendly and we had a great time singing round the camp fire with Casey who amazed us all when he started making up songs about us off the top of his head. We were lucky as it was quiet and only had two other couples with us made it all the more special. The whole experince was truely one of the best days of our lives and we continue to talk about it nearly everyday. As well as our return journey we so hope to make soon. I would highly recommend it to anyone. THANK YOU for making our honeymoon so super special.

- Debbie & Damon Ball, Chesterfield, England

Best vacation ever!

Voted by my 16 year old daughter to be absolutely the best night on a vacation ever. Incredible food, great accommodations, and unparalleled hospitality. We not only made memories, we made friends who changed our lives. We will definitely return.

- Beverly, Washington, Pennsylvania, USA

One of the Highlights of our Holiday!!

Thanks to everyone at the ranch for making our overnight stay a wonderful experience. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left the next morning. The evening meal was excellent and we were especially delighted when Casey sang a song to us to "celebrate our 40th birthdays even though it was 14 months ago!" (it took us a while to save up for the trip!). The evening singsong around the campfire was brilliant - Casey is a walking songbook!. The helicopter trip back over the Grand Canyon was awesome - the pilot definitely knew his stuff and pointed out lots of interesting things and bits of trivia. This was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday and if we come back to Vegas we hope to return to the ranch.

- Elaine and Paul Parkes, Stoke on Trent, England

Highlight of a wonderful holiday

We had four days in Las Vegas with our trip to and overnight stay at the ranch halfway through our holiday. As amazing as LV is the stay at the ranch was even better and gave us a nice break from the noise and bustle. Staff were welcoming (special thanks to Avis) and the host/entertainer Casey was wonderful and worked hard to make our stay special, but did it without making it look like work. Accommodation in the cabin was great. On some sites, reviews have complained about the facilities, get a grip folks the whole point of this tour is to offer a taste of the old west and provide authenticity. Actually the facilities are more than adequate anyway and so was the food. Cannot recommend this trip enough and well done to everyone involved. We will treasure the visit for the rest of our lives.

Great place! Thanks, Casey!

We had a marvelous time, especially due to Cowboy Casey, the singing Cowboy. We brought our two 8-year old girls, one of whom is ALSO named Casey. She had her birthday while we were there; Cowboy Casey sang her Happy Birthday every time he saw here, plus sang on-the-spot songs for both girls. We all loved roasting marshmallows and singing around the campfire. The cabins were comfortable, the food good, the people terrific. (One warning - the ranch is great, but it is still a 13 mile car ride and additional money to see the Grand Canyon if you don't choose the helicopter ride.) Thanks again.

- Nancy, Alexandria, Virginia

What an Amazing Place

This was an amazing trip for my family and I. We talk about it all the time. The staff were all so very nice to us. My kids loved being able to run and play without an adult standing over them. My best advice would be to forget you are grown up, forget your dignity, join in everything and have a great time. I have never met a kinder group of people. The scenery was amazing. We even saw tree frogs, coyote, and yes you guessed it, a road runner! This truely was every childhood game of cowboys come to like. Now just where was the Lone Ranger?

- Jennifer Taylor, Oxford, UK

Hi everyone at Heli USA

My wife and I would like to thank all staff and pilots for the great job they do and the wonderful time and flight we had last week. This will be a lasting memory for us both, one that we can repeatedly watch on the DVD we purchased. We will certainly tell friends and family if they go to Vegas that a flight with Heli USA is a must, Once again we thank everyone and when we are in Vegas again we will look forward to visiting
Ranch.

- Bye for now, Margaret and Michael Green, England

Howdy!

thought I would send a quick message to thank you for the fantastic time we had at GCWR, we stayed with you from 14th - 16th Oct and it was a great start to our trip to the U.S. The friendliness, hospitality, entertainment, food and accommodation was awesome. So a big thanks to Mike, Darlene, Virginia, Billy, the 'Rasta Ninja' and the 'little witch' for making our stay so special (apologies to anyone I forgot!). Please tell Mike that we followed his advice and took the road through Oak Creek Canyon on our way to Phoenix - it was a good tip! I hope business is booming for you and you get some rain soon!.

- Mark & Tracy Griffiths

Casey Adams music rocks!

I came with my family on june 29 2007. I recommend the ranch because of its horse rides (stay calm on the horses). I came to the ranch for my mom and dads 20 anniversary. I loved everything. I would absolutely stay there again.

- Louis, Oakton, United States

What a blast!

They offered the best heli packages around, most liked everything about the ranch especially the meals (not too big, just right), be sure to bring warm cloths and boots if you're going hiking or trail riding. From the minute we arrived we were treated like long-lost relatives being welcomed home. Casey and the rest of the gang made us feel so comfortable. There were 4 of us so we stayed in one of the "loft" cabins ~ about 50 yards from the main horse corral, which was great. I'm a big Louis L'Amour fan so I sat on the porch of our cabin in the big 'ol rocking chair reading my book just before dinner while I watched the sun set and listened to the horses. I did the same the following morning when I was treated to a mini-stampede as some of the horses decided they'd rather drink the water in the creek in front of the cabin than go into the corral. What a hoot. Sitting around the campfire listening to Casey sing his songs while playing the guitar was a highlight to our stay. Any song you can imagine, he can play, note-for-note, and sing, verbatim. He went from singing some country and western song right into Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven and American Pie. He was just awesome. He also seemed to have a specific song for each group that come into the ranch depending on what part of the world you were from. He sang "Sudbury Saturday Night" for us and a song about the tobacco fields in Tillsonburg. What a treat he was. A true host and gentleman.
We only stayed one night at the ranch but felt as though we knew everyone there. We even received hugs upon our departure - what a place. We can't wait to go back!

- Cindi Beaulieu, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

OH MY GOD!!!!!

Oh my god what an experience, the helicopter ride, the views of the canyon, the stay at the ranch (bring warm clothing, stayed in November). Totally amazing. My husband Steve & I went as part of our Vegas Trip. Highlight of trip. !!!!!!! My husband wants to be a cowboy when he grows up!!!!!!. Cant fault anything. We had 'Thanksgiving' at the ranch, ate pumkin pie! to sweet but different. Sang with Mike around the campfire (THANKS MIKE) for being so good. Took very spiritual photos of Spirit Mountain, have lots of pictures with spiritual orbs in it. Amazing!!!!. Everyone at the ranch was so welcoming. Cabins really comfy, food great. WHAT A PLACE TO VISIT!!!!!!Would love to come back and stay longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS TO ALL...

- Avril Moore, Scotland

Pegasus Grand Canyon Chariot of Fire

I just wanted to send you a big thank you for an awesome experience and a perfect flight by your pilot. The experience will stay with my for ever and will be one of the top helicopter flights I ever take. Once again many thanks for the perfect package from door to door...

- Thank you, Anthony Crook

Great People especially JD and Casey

We found this great place on our last visit to USA and all of the cowboys were so nice, It was a shame we could not stay however we are returning April 08 with 12 people and we shall try to persuade them to give it a go for the night. There is a very high spiritual presence at the ranch and I could feel a little spirit called Sally it was really amazing.

- Loved the place, Teresa, England

A trip of a lifetime

Dear Casey, I would like to say how special you made our stay at the ranch. It was a trip of a lifetime wish we had made our stay longer. On a funny note you told my partner Chris that if he did not marry me he would be crying for fifty years, well he had proposed by the time we left and i said yes. so thank you for your words of wisdom and it would be nice to come out to the ranch to get married so we will start saving. Once again thankyou very much to you and all the staff.

- Kane Weeks and Chris Dowell

A remarkable experience

My girlfriend and I just completed a trip to Vegas and the last part was your canyon tour. I must say it was a remarkable experience. Our pilot, Phil, was excellent and the helicopter ride was great. The ranch was very nice and we were extremely happy with the quality of the food we received for dinner. Usually in a "tourist" type environment the food is so-so as more emphasis is on quantity not quality. not in this case. we also bought the video and enjoy it very much. I imagine we will be back that way in a year of so and will use your company again. Please tell Casey Adams that he was a great singing cowboy and we enjoyed his show very much!! thanks again.

Car Trouble at An Amazing Place

We did not actually stay at the ranch but we did have a very pleasant experience under very adverse conditions. On a recent trip to Las Vegas, our party of six decided to visit the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The ranch is located about halfway on a 14 mile unpaved road leading to Grand Canyon. We drove past the ranch on the way to Grand Canyon and noticed that they advertised cold beverages. We made a mental note to stop on the return trip. On our return trip, we did stop about 6 PM. At that time, we discovered that we had a flat tire. While attempting to change the tire, we notice another tire was also going flat. Here we were, in the desert, no cell phone service, and one spare tire. Our first thought was to call AAA on a ranch phone but discovered they don't come out that far on an unpaved road. The next idea was to call the rental car company for a replacement car but we were three hours from the nearest rental car location. We would then have a three hour drive, putting us back in Vegas after well after midnight. After discussing all the options among ourselves and the ranch management, we determined the only solution was to leave the car and catch a ride back to Vegas with a tour group that would be leaving in about 3 hours. After a while, a young man that worked at the ranch, Justin, came up and asked if he could help. We discussed the situation and he offered assistance. He said he was experienced in tire repair and fixed both flats in short order. We continued the trip and returned to Vegas, very grateful for the hospitality offered by the ranch personnel. Justin, Darlene, and the assistant manager (regretfully I didn't get her name) were very helpful and very concerned about our welfare. If they take care of people in distress in that manner, I can only imagine how they take care of people that stay at the ranch. It was our general consensus that the ranch was very authentic, staffed with exemplary personnel, and expertly maintained. We plan to go back and find out.

An experience of a Lifetime (mostly thanks to Casey)

We stayed at the ranch for two nights in one of the cabins which was very comfortable - comfy beds and plenty of hot water. We did consider one of the teepees but thought they would be too hot in the daytime and too cold at night but I think we were wrong. We were met by Casey who was welcoming and funny. We didn't know what to expect and comments on the web were mixed. If you are looking for 5* accommodation, this is not it, but food was good (fish or steak for dinner and basic breakfast), cabins were comfortable and staff helpful and friendly. My husband (who has never ridden a horse before) and my daughter went on the sunset horse ride and persuaded me to go on the second night. The horses walk but the gradients are quite steep in places. Jeans and boots are advisable but hard hats are provided. After this came dinner and then we were invited to sit around the camp fire, under a sea of stars, toasting marshmallows, whilst we were seranaded by Casey Adams (CD availble in shop!). He asked for our requests and was able to sing and play most of them. A truly lovely man. The next day, we took a helicopter ride over Grand Canyon which was spectacular. In the evening, we took another sunset horse ride. dinner, camp fire and bed. We saw coyotes, a Mexican wolf and bats on the ranch plus a variety of butterflies, birds and insects. There is a relaxed atmosphere, the staff and cowboys are patient and helpful and I can honestly say that we enjoyed the whole experience. We would certainly recommend staying at the ranch but if you want excitement and being on-the-go all the time, this is not for you. Our thanks go to Casey Adams who really made it for us. We was friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. We are certainly going back some time in the future. Thank you to everyone at Grand Canyon
Ranch and we hope to see you all again soon.

- Pauline, John & Sue Steel, Prestwood, Buckinghamshire, UK

A completely different experience

If you want to experience the world with no pollution, then go here. Its just amazing. When we went we took part in the sunset horseride. Amazing, it was an out of this world experience.

- Littledib, Sherborne. U.K.

We had a great time at the ranch

I loved the atmosphere of the place and found it very relaxing. We thought Casey Adams was an excellent entertainer and made the camp fire singalong a very memorable experience. I would certainly recommend the ranch to anyone and it was one of the highlights of our holiday in the USA.

- Jean Still, Sanderstead, S Croydon, UK

A Must Visit

This was an amazing part of my honeymoon. I am saving up to visit again. So much fun for everyone. A must visit place in your lifetime. Thanks for the time I spent there. Also a big thanks to Casey.

- Alan Price, Sunderland UK

Casey made the visit very special

If you are looking for true America the Ranch is a must....great family experience for a wide variety of tastes....horse riding, music, photography....authentic food etc. Casey Adams really made our visit a one in a lifetime special occasion...my son really enjoyed playing the guitar with Casey he's a real gentleman. If you are in the area go ahead and treat yourself to a fabulous time. The whole package was great, food, music and location was simply the best. There was something here for everyone, horseriding, scenery, music, nice people. Great hospitality from the whole team.

- The Goodwin Family, Staffs

The Best "West" Experience

We took a three week drive to discover the West but didn't really find it till we came to The Grand Canyon
Ranch. There's simply nowhere like it for that authentic western experience. Never mind the Tepee's and Cabins, Gunfights and Stories, Horse Rides to see the sunset or the Great Food. Not even the campfire where we sat around listening to old cowboy songs, with some of us remaining long into the night to watch the stars from beneath Spirit Mountain. All that was amazing, but it's the people that run the ranch that make the ranch the place it is. Warm, Welcoming and Western. You'd be a fool to miss it.

- Chris and Terri, Dublin, Ireland

Hope to visit again one day

Just to say thank you for a brilliant time last Tuesday/Wednesday. The cabin was gorgeous and the sunset ride was fantastic (it has taken me 6 years to get my partner on a horse and he loved it!!) Everybody obviously works really hard - please pass on a big thank you and compliments.

- J Brewer

Hello to Grand Canyon Ranch

Could you please forward to Casey Adams and all those at the Ranch, our thanks for a fantastic time spent with you all recently. My wife and I have recently returned to the UK after a short vacation in the US. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the US over the past thirty years - our time with you was a fantastically enjoyable experience.

- Thanks again, Roy and Jan Edwards from Gloucester, England

Thank You!

I have recently send a card to say many thanks to all of you for making our overnight stay on the 05/04/07 so very special. Maybe you did not receive this card or you are far to busy to reply. What is of course understandable. I had such a wonderful time on the Ranch and it was such a brilliant experience. The horseback riding could not have been more to my liking. Thank you for the delicious food and I really enjoyed the entertainment. All in all everything was so precious to me and I will never forget a moment of it. We bought a Casey Adams CD and listen to it all the time. Unfortunately he was not there to sign the CD. How can I find out more about Casey or contact him? Could you let me know, please.

- Many thanks, Nicola

Are we there yet?

Offering a 50th anniversary gift to my parents, and going along with them. I am counting days, I swear if they don't want to go -but I doubt it!- I'll lock them up in a closet and go alone.... My French Dad is a western buff with a whole room in his Lyon area house dedicated to John Wayne and a mix of cowboys and indians stuffs, my mom is just happy anywhere in the US! Downcounting days already from June 18th.... 17...16...!

- Emmanuelle Huguet, French citizen living in Houston TX

Awesome!

Traveled with Family-Friends, recommend for hose who want a bit of fun with friends! Most liked the food, the horse ride, the staff, the cabin... have a cowboy hat, boots and wrangler jeans to make more authentic for you!

- Josie Blacknell, Brighton, England

Absolute highlight of 2 week holiday in California

There were 8 of us traveling to various locations (4 children and 4 adults). We were welcomed with open arms to the ranch. Accommodation, food, company, horses and fab campfire singing were all first rate. The trip over the Grand Canyon in the helicopter was breathtaking. I have highly recommended this ranch to everyone I meet. The children (9,11, 13,13) have taken lasting memories with them as we have. Thank you so much.

- Love the Hepple & Page Family xxxx,
Doncaster (Yorkshire)/Luton (Bedfordshire) UK

Loved the whole experience!

This was fantastic and I would defiantly recommend it to anyone... Watching the sunset over the Grand Canyon while drinking champagne on a horse with a cowboy singing 'back in the saddle again' is something I'll never forget.

- Daisy from Belfast, Ireland

A Memory I will always Cherish

My son and I took the heli there and back, staying overnight. It was, at least for me, the best part of our stay in Las Vegas. The horse riding was so different to anything in England. The entertainment was brilliant. Casey Adams, with his friends, entertained all evening and the next morning.

- John from Camden, England

The Experience of a Lifetime

If you want to experience something completely different, this is the place to go. The helicopter flight from Heli USA was superbly operated. The staff at the
Ranch are so friendly and the horse back riding and the sunsets are unforgettable. Casey Adams sang to us from 4pm until practically 7am the next morning. We took my friend here as a surprise 30th birthday gift and we couldn't have dreamed of anything more memorable.

- Robin Nix, UK

I want to be a Cowgirl and work a ranch!

Stayed here half-way through our honeymoon. The overnight experience itself was brilliant - BBQ dinner, songs and stories around a campfire in the evening and an early morning horse riding session which leads you to some fantastic views in Joshua Tree Forest.

- Rebecca Whip, Manchester, UK

Simply the Best

This was the best ever experience I've had. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my husband and myself. The horseback sunset ride was great and my husband loved this, especially as it was his first time on a horse.
